Valroy Binsbacher is a co-founder of the Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC Law Firm located in Mascoutah, Illinois. Mr. Binsbacher graduated from Central Methodist College and then attended the University of Missouri Law School where he graduated in November, 1972. During his final year in Law School, he concentrated his studies in the areas of estate and business planning. He began his career as a lawyer in O'Fallon, Illinois with the Robert Hayes Law Firm. He later worked in the firms of McRoberts, Sheppard, McRoberts and Wimmer, Edgemont, Illinois, and Schroeder Poston & Binsbacher, Mascoutah, Illinois. In August, 1979 he, together with Attorney Brad Barkau, founded Binsbacher and Barkau, P.C. In July, 1990, he started his own law firm known as Valroy Binsbacher, P.C. In January, 2007, Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC was formed for the practice of law with Maurice R. Griffithe and Valroy Binsbacher. Throughout his career, Mr. Binsbacher has concentrated in the areas of estate and business planning, estate administraton, real estate and probate law. Maurice R. Griffithe is a co-founder of Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC. Prior to co-founding the law firm, Mr. Griffithe worked for the St. Louis based firm of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, L.C. Mr. Griffithe graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Philosphy from Eastern Illinois University in 1997. Thereafter, Mr. Griffithe served as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army from 1997 - 2000. In 2003 Mr. Griffithe graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Mr. Griffithe is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri. Membership affiliations include the Illinois State Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association and St. Clair County Bar Association. Susan E. Griffithe is an attorney at Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC. Prior to practicing as an attorney for Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC, Susan E. Griffithe served as a judicial chambers counsel to the Honorable Justice James M. Wexstten (retired) of the Illinois Appellate Court, Fifth District, and also the Honorable Judge David R. Herndon of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Prior to that, Mrs. Griffithe practiced at the St. Louis based law firm of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, LLP (now Husch Blackwell LLP). She obtained her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2003. Mrs. Griffithe is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri.
Kevin T. Dawson. Prior to arriving at the firm, Kevin specialized in litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, in a variety of complex civil matters. After graduating from Mascoutah High School, Kevin received a baseball scholarship and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from McKendree College in 2002. In 2004, Kevin graduated with a Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Kevin is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Illinois and Missouri. Membership affiliations include the Illinois State Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association and St. Clair County Bar Association. Kevin is also a member, or serves on the board of, several Mascoutah civic and charitable organizations. He is an avid Cardinals fan and now focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, guardianships, real estate, business entities and contracts, as well as complex civil litigation. Diane Goatey is a paralegal with the law firm of Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC. Prior to joining Binsbacher & Griffithe, LLC, Mrs. Goatey was a paralegal with the predecessor law firm Valroy Binsbacher, P.C. She has been in the law field since 1985. Prior to working with our office, Mrs. Goatey was in the insurance industry and was a fully licensed insurance agent in life, health, vehicle, and home insurance. Mrs. Goatey graduated with an Associates Degree from Belleville Area College (n/k/a Southwestern Illinois College) in 2000, with a 4.0 grade point average while working full time, enjoying her marriage, and raising her two daughters. Mrs. Goatey specializes in Estate and Probate Administration, Trust Administration, Guardianships, and funding of trusts. Mrs. Goatey is also a Notary Public in Illinois.
